As our payroll pro, Tia Ecker is an essential part of the Grand Strand CPAs team here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A community leader and dedicated professional, we’re happy to introduce Tia to you, and proud to have her on our team.
Tia makes working with numbers look easy, but she worked hard to become our bookkeeping guru. After studying at Coastal Carolina University, Tia found herself working in office administration, and she came to the GSCPAs team not long after that. She’s been an office administrator for nearly two decades, and she knows our team like family; in fact, that’s the best part of the job, according to Tia! Grand Strand CPAs is such a close-knit team, Tia loves working with everyone in the firm, and she values the relationships she builds with clients year after year.
A true people-person, Tia has been recognized by the Myrtle Beach community for her outstanding involvement in local life. As a member of the community and as part of the Myrtle Beach Civitan Club, Tia gives back in so many ways, working to raise money and help people with disabilities, hospitals, and local animal shelters. She has given time and energy for the Relay for Life, Special Olympics, fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Grand Strand Humane Society, and the local Autism Services Provider, SOS Healthcare. Basically, she’s awesome!
When she’s not pouring her time and effort into the community, you can find her working out and staying healthy. Tia loves to socialize and enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer with her friends and family. The variety of food in the area is perfect for Tia, who loves every type of cuisine, but you’ll find her most often seeking out Mexican and Italian food. She’s also a great cook, and when she’s not dining out, she’s whipping up some fabulous lasagna or spicy enchiladas. Tia is passionate about animals and loves both cats and dogs, and she has three dogs at home. She balances time with the dogs with her love of traveling.
