A true veteran of accounting firms in Myrtle Beach, Jane Thayer has been working in the accounting business for more than three decades. As our staff accountant, we’re happy to introduce you to Jane, and we hope you’ll stop by to meet her!
Jane has been with GSCPAs for ten years, and she has put her whole heart into serving the community as part of our accounting firm in Myrtle Beach. She started out her education with an Associate’s degree in computer science from Horry Georgetown Technical College, and when Jane first started out in this business, she was a data entry clerk. Her passion and drive for the field pushed her to pursue a Bachelor’s in accounting with a concentration in CPA from Coastal Carolina University.
Jane’s love of people is clear in her work: her favorite aspect of the job is customer service, and you can find her giving her all to others every day of the week. She stays up-to-date on accounting news and changes as an affiliate member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. With her knowledge of accounting and her people-first attitude, Jane finds that the best thing about working at Grand Strand CPAs is the team-like approach to all the daily challenges the firm handles.
Living here in Myrtle Beach, Jane often goes out walking along the Boardwalk, the beaches, and in the neighborhoods in the sunny weather. She especially enjoys spending time with family and friends, where she’s been known to crack a few jokes. Jane’s favorite places to meet her loved ones are Southwestern and Japanese restaurants, but she can easily whip up her own huevos rancheros or udon at home. A dog person, she loves that one of the partners in the firm brings his dog in to visit!
